Well, I'm still working too many hours late at night. I'm trying to balance my precious down-time between working out, listening to podcasts, playing rented games and working on projects.
My wrist has been feeling a lot better so I've been working out again. I'm happy with how it's progressing so far. I made a simple 5 day schedule and have been working abs almost everyday.
Podcasts are still my primary form of entertainment, besides the occasional TV I watch (which I also download since I'm never home during prime-time). Luckily I can workout or lay in bed trying to sleep while listening to audio podcasts.
I got a Gamefly subscription so that I could try different games for my Wii. Right now I have Wind Waker and Hotel Dusk and need to play more of both before sending them back.
I don't have many projects going on but, I've been messing around with C++ again. Mostly I work on the back-end of a little website for a friend. I think I'm going to end up working on the front-end too.
My left wrist has hurt under stress since my mom fell a few months ago. I guess I hurt it helping her up. I decided to get a wrist brace to keep it straight and hopefully aid in healing.
So, it looks like JKR has released the title of the next and last installment of Harry Potter. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'd also like to mention that Nintendo has released a trial for the Wii internet browser. I'll have to try out different sites later and see how compatible it is with the ones I actually use.
My computer exploded so I'm currently typing on an old computer of my sister's. I weighed my options on reparing/replacing it and decided my best chance was to order an inexpensive power supply, as that is the suspected cause of my problems. If that's not the problem, than it's a mobo issue which I'm not going to be able to fix for so cheap. Also, I need to make a list of other things to do during my vacation.
As I didn't get a Wii on launch day, I will be making an attempt on the dreaded Black Friday. I'm going to try Wal-mart at around midnight, and if unsuccessful, Target when they open at 6am.
So, the Wii goes on sale Sunday. Do I try to get one in the morning after I get off of work Saturday night, or do I call out of work and better my chances of getting one? Decisions, decisions!
What song makes you rock the karaoke mic?

I can't resist "Be Prepared" from The Lion King. Also, "La Bamba" is a favorite of mine.
To use my vacation I have requested the odd week of (Wednesday) December 6th to (Tuesday) December 12th off of work. I expect I'll get plenty of relaxation done, as well as things I need to do. I am looking for friends to hang out with though, so let me know if you want to get together sometime during that week.
I'm just testing out VOX's cross-posting feature. I'd rather blog here, but my friends still use LiveJournal.
So, it seems a few of my friends from work have had their MySpace accounts hijacked. Yet another reason to stay away from that crappy site. Also, I think it's time to restructure my bookmarks.
didn't realize i had disabled them. i'll see about fixing that. read more
